Job Description

Principally, this role will be delivering the sales, profit and stock targets that allow the business to be commercially successful and provide a diverse range of products to customers. The successful candidate will go on to manage and analyse key data to maximise sales within the clients Travel Retail environment. The role will contain a diverse set of challenge and so will include but may not be limited to the following:

The successful Merchandiser will

  • Ensure that all decisions carefully consider the importance of cost efficiency
  • Work with retail teams to stock is carefully managed in line with market trends and promotions
  • Streamlining processes and engineering new ways of working with suppliers
  • Report regularly on the Supply Chain to Category Managers
  • Be responsible for capacity and space planning, understanding how substitution of products can impact, cost, space and profits
  • Process Management with regard to managing risk and opportunities to ensure targets are consistently met within the business.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will be familiar with working to KPIs and annual targets. Therefore it is imperative to have the ability to overcome challenges and remain positive at all times. The candidate will also have a clear and direct approach to their work based on current trading conditions. Due to the responsibility the role offers the ability to create a positive team culture will be important for nurturing talent within the business.
