Job Description

MI & Reporting Analyst, SAP Business Objects will reporting into to the Operational MI Manager. Key responsibilities will include:

Assist in the development and implementation of systems and processes to establish and promote a BI CoE and deliver high quality Management Information and Analytics to support the growth of the business:

  • Contribute to evangelising Business Intelligence and Data Management through engagement with stakeholders, providing excellent insight and ultimately creating as much positive impact through being part of CoE as possible
  • Partner with Business Units to understand their drivers and needs and to deliver reporting and analyses that generate insight and enable informed decisions
  • Design and implement innovative and compelling reports, dashboards, visualisations and models to measure KPIs and support effective decision making
  • Become the source of knowledge (SME-Subject Matter Expert) in relevant functional areas of source systems, business processes and BI tools
  • Develop and deliver BI training for new and Power Users
  • Gather, analyse and document reporting requirements and business processes
  • Develop and evangelise best practices in the presentation and delivery of Management Information and Analytics
  • Drive continuous improvement across all aspects of Business Intelligence
  • Be the link between the business and IT ensuring effective communication and efficient delivery of high-quality, timely solutions
  • Occasional domestic and international travel may be required

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have a strong academic background, ideally with a quantitative or IT related degree, experience and passion for handling, analysing and interpreting large, complex data sets. Be commercially driven with excellent analytical and systems skills including SAP Business Objects (or similar BI tools), MS Excel, VBA and SQL. An interest in data sciene and date mining techniques would be desirable as would knowledge of programming languages such as R, SAS, Matlab or Python.

What's on Offer

Up to £45,000 plus pension, health-care, bonus.
