Small independent practice in central Birmingham.

A family run practice with 5 heads currently.

The firm is growing and anticipate 100% growth in headcount by 20/20

Job Description

  • You will be expected to attend training to further develop and maintain your technical skills and, if required, work towards a professional qualification.
  • supervise, help train and assist more junior members of the team.
  • Contact clients in connection with non technical issues such as the collection of debtors and be involved on an ongoing basis in administrative activities such as billing.
  • Carry out professional work of a tax compliance nature for clients including all aspects of incomes tax, corporation tax and capital taxes. This work will be undertaken on a selected range of clients for which you will have ongoing responsibility for delivery of the services they require.
  • Plan and control your professional work for these clients within the firm's standard procedures. You will be able to identify basic planning opportunities.
  • Identify and act upon any opportunities you see within the professional work you do to sell more services to existing prospective clients.
  • You will be expected to have and maintain a good working knowledge of the systems and processes that you will be required to use to do your job.

The Successful Applicant

Worked in professional practice previously in mixed tax.

ACCA/ACA/ATT or equivalent experience.

Accounts prep would also be ideal
