My client are a leading FMCG manufacturer in their respective field, looking for a multi-skilled maintenance engineer for their expanding team.

Located in Leicestershire, my client has grown into their recently new site extremely quickly, with product demand ever increasing at present. This business provides growth and development for the right individual.

Job Description

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be reporting into the Shift Engineering Manager and will be responsible for attending breakdowns and conduction PPMs on a variety of conveyors, rotating equipment and electric motors as part of a team of maintenance staff. You will be expected to conduct the following:

  • Attending breakdowns, resolving these in a timely manner
  • Assist in optimising PPMs and condition monitoring systems
  • Conduct PPMs and scheduled maintenance on time
  • Fault finding on PLCs
  • Maintaining and improving automation controls including AC/DC drives
  • Drive the business forward through establish a proactive maintenance culture
  • Liaise with multiple functions and create the link between production to drive maintenance activity while effectively hitting plant related KPI's.

The Successful Applicant

Our successful candidate will be an experienced maintenance engineer who is happy to work week days on site in Leicestershire. You will possess the following attributes:

  • Track record in maintenance and optimisation of equipment
  • Understanding of the FMCG industry
  • Working knowledge of PLCs
  • Minimum of 16th Edition qualifications
  • Electrically biased experience
  • Experience of automated process plant and control systems including PLC's & Robotics
  • High volume manufacturing and experience of working in a similar environment
  • Formally trained with electrical qualifications - degree is advantageous but not a prerequisite
  • An energetic approach to breakdown and pro-active maintenance is required along with an awareness of the pressures of an "Uptime driven" manufacturing environment
