These changes to strategy has led to a clearer plan within the commercial team, closer working in the organisation and stronger customer relationship.

Job Description

This is a high profile role for the right individual, the National Account Controller will be tasked with owning up to 40% of the companies turnover with 2 direct reports. You will also a key leader in helping the company make the change in behaviour internal and external.

  • Provide a leadership function to junior National Account Managers.
  • Help and support the Head of Sales, focusing on strategy, account plans and brand values.
  • Secure commitment and listings from accounts by developing promotions/programmes providing agreed profitability/ROI across the product range and by building appropriate relationships to gain a clear understanding of their business.
  • Provide a detail, analytical working to the role and sector focusing on category growth and brand loyalty.

The Successful Applicant

Candidate will currently be working in a NAM/SNAM level role or equal equivalent within a branded consumer/FMCG organisation, it is not necessary at this stage to have leadership experience. Other pre-requisites are:

  • Strong education background - minimum degree level
  • Based 1 hour commute of North Surrey.
  • Have experience working for a strong branded business focusing on developing brand strategies rather than sales out.
  • Managed strong relationships internal and external.
  • Highly analytical and detailed.
  • Has 3 years+ experience leading on Account Plans and Profit and Loss negotiations, with either UK Retailers or Grocers.

My client is looking to bring someone in c£50-60k basic salary, company car, strong benefits package with a discretionary 10% Bonus.

The Head of Sales that this role reports into is also looking into to develop this person into a Sales or Marketing leader.
