My client is a fast-growing, Insurance provider.

Job Description



In this role the New Business Developer will be prospecting, tendering, and most importantly, securing Corporate Commercial general insurance products. From generating commercial leaders, to fact finding and visiting prospective customers and cross selling, the successful candidate will drive sales and make results happen.

The New Business Developer will:

  • Plan, prospect, select and sell Mid Corporate Commercial General Insurance products
  • Develop and manage your own pipeline of business that is sufficient to achieve targets
  • Carry out external sales calls in a compliant and professional manager
  • Identify, cross sell leads for Financial Services and Risk Management Services
  • Build effective relationships with agencies that will be responsible for servicing the Commercial business you win
  • Work closely with Sales Development Consultants to understand the risk appetite and prospecting opportunities
  • Collaborate with Field Development Underwriters to aid with fact finds
  • Cover a South West territory, centred around Cheltenham and Gloucester



This role is field based.

The Successful Applicant

The New Business Developer will:

  • Be a proven, successful, new business development professional
  • Have a proven Commercial sales background in financial services
  • Ideally have sold General Insurance solutions
  • Be an excellent, proven, relationship manager
  • Enjoy closing deals, exceeding targets and benefiting from the rewards
  • Be an effective presenter, negotiator and communicator
