Job Description

New Business Sales Manager

The role:

  • Working with the General Manager and business owner to define the new business sales strategy for the business.
  • Identifying potential new revenue streams and opportunities in-line with the business growth strategy.
  • Owning the new business target for the business.
  • Identifying prospects and generating leads through research of the marketplace.
  • Maintaining a prospects database including identifying specific targets.
  • Contacting prospects by telephone in the first instance to identify their requirements, qualifying the need for our service and building a relationship with key personnel.
  • Using CRM system to manage prospect activity and develop a pipeline of sales.
  • Reporting sales activity and pipeline status.
  • Arranging and conducting meetings with prospective customers.
  • Working with sales administration to prepare quotes.
  • Presenting an SLA and quotation to prospects.
  • Closing the sale and ensuring a timely start to the contract.

The Successful Applicant

New Business Sales Manager

The person:

  • Experience in a business to business service sales environment.
  • An understanding of the training industry would be a distinct advantage.
  • A strong professional approach with exceptional interpersonal, communication and listening skills.
  • Able to demonstrate good business acumen with ability to identify opportunities within diverse market sectors.
  • Self-motivated and able to deliver on financial and activity targets
  • A strong sense of team to enjoy working in a small company environment.
  • Comfortable with telephone and field based sales
  • Confident to arrange and present at customer meetings to all company types.
  • Rapport building skills to work with people at all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to develop ideas for and execution of email and postal marketing campaigns would be beneficial.
