Job Description

The Audit Manager/Senior Manager will be responsible for managing a key client portfolio of not for profit clients, including in particular social housing, charities, education and general not for profit.

What you'll be doing:

  • you'll plan and co-ordinate all aspects of audit planning, including considering resourcing requirements for own assignments and the wider department
  • you'll take responsibility for controlling the audit in relation to timescales, budgets and risk management procedures
  • you'll be responsible for a number of audit teams and ensure planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives
  • you'll check that audit work papers have been properly reviewed and that audit files are completed in a timely manner
  • you'll prepare and present proposals for new work

The Successful Applicant

  • you'll be educated to degree level or equivalent
  • you'll be professionally qualified (ACA, CA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • you'll have significant post qualified experience in audit within practice
  • you'll have experience of working on larger audits
  • you'll ideally have experience of one not for profit area: social housing, charities or education and have a willingness to learn other areas
  • you'll ideally have experience of central government audits
