Job Description

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Monitor daily all competitor activity including: promotions, price comparison and product range.
  • Produce weekly competitor activity report for the exec team to review.
  • Report and evaluate the performance of promotions and offers using financial and web metrics.
  • Identify promotional / marketing opportunities and risk in trade plan and anticipate stock, margin and sales implications.
  • Analysis of sales trends, competitor activity and use this to recommend appropriate actions.
  • Optimise product placement through sorting rules and internal search keywords.
  • Liaise with merchandising to improve online performance through pricing action, product range and promotional activity.
  • Use analysis to suggest areas of the website to test and improve conversion.

The Successful Applicant

Previous experience in a similar role, you'll be highly analytical and customer focused with technical understanding of website systems. Good working knowledge of web analytics e/g/ coremetrics, omniture, web trends, google analytics along with the ability to use data to adapt commercial plans. You'll need the ability to influence and react quickly in a fast paced environment.
