Job Description

The Oracle Business Analyst will hold responsibility for the continual development and support of the organisation's Oracle system capabilities. Responsibilities may include:

  • Analysis, prioritisation and documentation of current Oracle process, applications and capabilities.
  • Liaise with system users and senior stakeholders to identify and understand requirements for additional or improved functionality.
  • Identification of opportunities to better leverage Oracle platform capabilities across the business.
  • Work with IT support and development teams to translate requirements into technical deliverables.
  • Act as the Oracle systems subject matter expert, highlighting and mitigating against potential risks for any system improvement or reconfiguration.
  • Define technical and process documents for different business areas such as Finance, HR.
  • Assist with application testing and training.
  • Coordination of activities and initiatives with Oracle support and other 3rd party vendors.

The Successful Applicant

To be considered for the Oracle Business Analyst role, candidates must adhere to the following criteria:

  • Deep technical understanding of Oracle, with a track record of assisting the delivery of large scale Oracle system implementation projects.
  • Ability to design, develop and implement technical design specifications and process best practice.
  • Good communicator, capable of working with end users, development teams and 3rd party implementation specialists.
  • Previous exposure to a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Degree-level education in a related discipline.
  • Flexibility to travel, sometimes internationally, about 25%.
