Job Description

  • To deliver high quality reports in a timely manner to our clients while embracing the company's core values of Honesty & Integrity, Excellence, Focus and Team Spirit
  • To become a recognised centre of excellence within the business and the wider Financial Services industry, through delivering high quality reports in a timely manner
  • Accurately and efficiently support the Private Client Advice team to enable the achievement of targets
  • Follow procedures as set out in the Wealth Planning Procedures Handbook. Flag areas where process is missing or existing process is inefficient
  • Ensure cases are referred to Planning Standards/Manager where appropriate to mitigate risk to the business and ensure quality is maintained
  • Regularly participate in team meetings, including highlighting issues and owning actions through to resolution
  • Assist with any new business initiatives, as required
  • Proactive in suggesting improvements for the continuing progression of the team and Company
  • Assist Manager - Service Delivery (SDM) with workflow management by ensuring Xplan accurately reflects work queue and flagging any capacity or bottleneck
  • Proactively enhance industry and Company knowledge, through external and internal sources and maintaining an accurate CPD log
  • Provide the business support necessary in meeting the business strategy and business objectives, as required
  • Assist with research and surveys, however conducted
  • Participate in project work where applicable
  • Actively work with other departments, for example Planning Standards Team and Compliance, to ensure all work meets Company standards

  • If holding a specialist license (Personal Injury, Corporate and Tax Led), provide specialist research and report writing support in the areas of specialism and licences held

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong technical knowledge of financial services products
  • Relevant experience in a Wealth Management environment
  • Effective communication, both verbally and in writing
  • Effective drafting of client advice
  • Effective technical and product research
  • Ability to attend client meetings
  • Effective use of Microsoft Office products and Adviser Office
  • Organisational skills
  • Time management skills
  • Professional telephone handling
  • In depth understanding of compliance and other legal processes
  • Fully competent in using AO and developing the use of Financial Planning tools on AO to assist with Financial Planning for clients.
  • Diploma in Financial Planning
  • Working towards Chartered status where appropriate
