Job Description

Role of the Paraplanner

Facilitate the smooth processing of new and existing business

Provide appropriate support to the Financial Planning Managers

Liaise with the administration team

Assist with monitoring the performance and work throughput of the administration team thereby ensuring standards are maintained and deadlines are met

Assist with the monitoring of compliance standards across the FP Department

To build a working knowledge of the business support function, and to manage the teams relations with business support.

Complying with the regulatory regime whilst demonstrating an understanding of your responsibility within the regulatory framework.

Create and maintain effective working relationships with clients and colleagues.

Assist with the supervision of the FS administration unit, monitor its effectiveness and identify improvements.

Prepare business generating documentation for the Financial Planning Managers including report writing.

Ensure compliance standards are met throughout the FS department

To perform all necessary actions required in order to comply with all FCA rules and regulations applicable to the role, while adhering to TCF procedures at all times

Follow the Principles and Working Ethos and act with integrity and honesty at all times

Take responsibility for own development, with regard to industry changes, legislation & regulation

The Successful Applicant


2:1 Honours degree preferred

CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning is a minimum requirement

Additional relevant Diploma-level modules should also be considered

A minimum of 3 years experience in financial planning is essential

In-depth understanding of financial markets/risk management techniques/regulatory requirements

Proven business and team-building ability

Self motivated, ambitious, decisive

Team player with first-rate people skills

Strong communication skills

Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload

Strong analytical skills and excellent numeracy abilities

Commercial Awareness
