Job Description


Generalist HR

  • Work closely with the HR Managers and wider Europe and Africa HR team to ensure a streamlined service is delivered that is suited to the practical needs of the business.



  • Act as case manager for all incoming employee relations issues, escalating where necessary to the HR Managers.



  • Provide guidance to and coach staff of all levels on a full range of people issues.



  • Support transferees and business leaders on all issues relating to international moves, including package construction and working through taxation and immigration issues.



  • Support the business to implement business change initiatives in their areas, including redundancies, restructures and change of terms and conditions where appropriate.



  • Provide support and/or manage contractual and employment issues in European and African offices.



  • Ensure delivery of the HR calendar i.e. performance management cycle, salary and bonus review.



  • Perform other duties as reasonably requested by the HR Managers, leadership team and against the HR Project Plan.







HR Advice and Guidance

  • As the first point of contact for all queries, be accountable for and successfully manage the HR EurAf team inbox on a daily basis through on-going communication, escalation and prioritisation with the HR Coordinator.



  • Demonstrate customer focus and a commitment to providing a seamless service to the business through responding to all queries in a timely manner and producing high quality, accurate work.



  • Demonstrate initiative and autonomy by managing tasks through to completion where possible. If a query/task is complex or very ambiguous, redirect/escalate as appropriate once possible solutions have been considered.





HR Systems, Records and Data Management

  • Be accountable for maintaining accurate employee data for relevant populations in all core HR Systems ensuring updates are made in a timely manner. Respond to data enquiries and produce accurate MI reports if required.



  • Cleanse and maintain employee files on an ongoing basis (electronic and hard copy) in line with the ISO and Data Retention, Archiving and Destruction policy. Use the correct naming convention and version control.







HR Projects and On-Going Team Priorities

  • Own and deliver assigned projects and priorities in line with deadlines as agreed with the HR Managers. Provide pro-active support with ad-hoc tasks where necessary. Ensure any issues are flagged to ensure delivery is in line with agreed deadlines.







HR Team Support

  • Provide direction and leadership to the junior team and act as an escalation point, providing guidance when required to aid their continuous development.































The Successful Applicant



Essential

  • Extensive administrative experience within a Human Resources function
  • Thorough understanding of local, EurAf and Global HR policies and practices
  • Technical aptitude and a willingness to learn
  • Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience of working in a fast paced environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience of managing and improving complex administrative processes
  • Excellent knowledge of UK employment law
  • First class business English language skills (spoken and written)





Preferred

  • Knowledge of European employment law.
  • Knowledge and experience of HR Information Systems
  • Experience of working within a professional services environment
  • Second language, European preferable

What's on Offer

My client is ideally looking for 3 days a week. They are looking to pay Circa 40k FTE and will pro rata depending on number of days.
