Job Description

The role is a broad one largely created to ensure the efficient running of (HR / personal) Tax Operations including managing and improving processes, payroll checking (Expat and Local) and payroll analysis support to the Human Resources function to ensure effective and efficient cost & risk controls.

You will be able to provide additional support in relation to Asian expatriate matters, particularly managing process for annual tax returns and liaison with head office in Asia

This is a varied and hands on role in a busy team within an expanding organization

Tasks will include

Perform monthly cost analysis and forecasts as required by management.

Work with our 3rd party tax advisers to manage the process for UK annual tax returns of approximately 100 STBVs / expatriates.

Review and authorize charges to other group entities (Inter company).

Supporting Head of HR Operations with Personnel Budgeting matters

Support the payroll manager with Day to day management of the compensation & benefits function of London branch.

Ensure company policies, procedures and appropriate laws are followed in respect of Tax and HR compensation & benefits.

Monthly review of local, expatriate & associated payrolls, prior to final sign off.

Support Compensation & Benefits Executive & Administrators on accounting, payroll and taxation matters.

Support Compensation & Benefits Executive with the review and management of employee benefits.

To work with HR business partners to gain an understanding of new statutory Senior Manager's Regime and how the rules impact on Japanese expatriate management.

Provide support to other members of the team during busy periods

The Successful Applicant

  • Can demonstrate some experience of management accounting practises, tax or budgeting / forecasting.
  • Has previous experience of payroll approval and employment taxes
  • IT literate and can demonstrate excellent skills in excel.
  • Previous people management experience is desirable
  • Experience of implementing new IT systems and procedures would be an advantage
  • ATT / CIMA or similarly qualified.
