Big 4 international practice with an SME focused department that requires a Payroll Manager to build and mentor a team.

Job Description

  • Manage an efficient and effective payroll function to ensure accurate and timely deliverables to clients
  • Manage a payroll team and help to develop their capabilities and performance
  • Provide payroll delivery information to the rest of the management group for reporting, special projects and to enhance the service
  • Enhance Payroll processes and systems as the client base grows and implement these changes
  • Provide customer support and respond to any client payroll issues to ensure client satisfaction

The Successful Applicant

In order to be successful, you will need previous experience as a Payroll Manager in at least a medium size payroll bureau and have a comprehensive understanding of the UK Payroll environment and compliance requirements.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical and problem solving skills are highly desired. You will be part of a fast growing business so will need to be adaptable, embrace change and take the team with you on the journey.

You will be able to prioritise your workload and meet tight deadlines. Attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential material are crucial. You will be a team player with excellent attention to detail and strive to provide outstanding customer service.

As Payroll Manager you will champion change projects related to the payroll function and continuously seek business improvements to payroll processes and systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping up to date with legislate requirements to ensure on going compliance.

Essential to success in this role is the proactive management of relationships with the stakeholders across various locations and backgrounds, working closely with them and their teams to maximise the efficiency and accuracy of the payroll function.

Knowledge and experience of Xero Payroll software and the Irish Payroll environment, while not required, would be desirable.

What's on Offer

up to £45,000 base salary with excellent benefits attached.
