About Our Client

My client is a Top 20 Firm based in Surrey with excellent rail links and an excellent reputation who support and develop their staff and can offer diversity for your career and desire to acquire new skills. This role will be a Senior position within the organisation so culturally you should be keen to develop junior employees and take pride in the Firm's successes.

Job Description

  • Provide tax consultancy advice over the full range of personal tax related matters direct to clients and to partners/managers.
  • Develop and manage own client base and introduce clients to wider services available.
  • Work as part of the Firm's senior tax team to develop the overall offering and capabilities.
  • Work with relationship partners and managers to develop client opportunities, attending pitches and preparing proposals as necessary to secure additional work.
  • Work with the local partner team on general office marketing and development activities.
  • Promote personal tax and any areas of specialism by providing content for marketing materials, fact sheets, on line forums etc.
  • Lead and manage the local personal tax team, ensuring that financial and service delivery standards are maintained and enhanced.
  • Ensure that processes used by the tax team are efficient and effective and improved wherever possible.
  • Lead and manage the personal tax team to ensure that are sufficient resources, efficiently organised to meet client demands and develop the client base.
  • Work with local partners to engage and motivate the whole staff based at that location.
  • Provide effective communication to the tax team and focus on their development.
  • Manage employee related issues as they arise.

The Successful Applicant

  • CTA qualified accountant with significant and relevant tax experience.
  • Self starter capable of motivating and driving a team of professionals
  • Strong Private Client Tax knowledge, and commercial awareness and ability to deal with a wide range of tax issues as are necessary when advising owner managed businesses
  • A "hands on" approach, self motivation and excellent client relationship skills are required as the candidate strives to become the trusted advisor to clients
