Job Description

As PR and Content Assistant I am responsible for:

  • Researching fresh ideas and writing engaging, helpful and informative content as part of a fixed tone of voice that is search engine friendly and in line with current trends.
  • Support the overall content marketing strategy working with creative and media/SEO agencies.
  • Support the YouTube channel, plan, research ideas, organise filming, write scripts/call sheets, brief in studio for editing as required.
  • Willing to travel including overnight stays occasionally.
  • Knowledge of the UK travel industry.
  • Become an advocate of the company in social media spaces.
  • Report monthly using Review Pro and support holiday locations in responding to Trip Advisor
  • Regularly feedback insights gained from social media monitoring and Trip Advisor into the management and leadership teams, to help them evolve their strategies in a timely fashion
  • Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media for the Social Content Manager to analyze and review.
  • Produce a monthly Social Media and PR Report.
  • Supporting holiday teams with holiday specific Facebook pages for holiday home owners.
  • Support BBC Children in Need activity and report and feedback monthly and recommend ideas for press releases.

Training / Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate a creative flair in producing video content
  • Interest in social media
  • Proven examples of creative writing and blogging.
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal - in line with our tone of voice.
  • Have a good knowledge of the principles of SEO.
  • Computer literate and ability to use Excel, Word and Powerpoint and Mac.
  • Have an understanding of marketing.
  • Keep in touch with content trends online e.g. via Buzzfeed and react to them when appropriate.

  • Must hold a Full driving licence
