Job Description

As PR Manager you will sit within the Marketing, Insight and Communications team and report into the Head of Marketing, Insight and Communication, a long standing employer of this great company.

The PR Manager will be responsible for all consumer public relations activity. As such, you will be the official gatekeeper of information where all consumer media is concerned. The PR Manager will ensure that there is a high level of positive, great quality media coverage. You will also be responsible for the social media strategy, ensuring traditional, digital and social media work together to achieve success.

Other key responsibilities include, but limited to:

  • Build and develop pivotal relationships with key consumer media
  • Lead public profile and consumer focused PR & social media strategy
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure the desired company image is portrayed in the media and wider public domain
  • Pro-actively organise interviews, press releases, and campaigns to promote
  • Monitor and evaluate coverage in the press and social media to ensure the right messages are getting through, and that the negative PR is effectively handled
  • Effectively manage external agencies

The Successful Applicant

To be considered as the PR Manager the following skills and attributes will be accessed.

  • Proven experience in consumer PR (In-house or Agency)
  • Experience integrating social media and traditional PR to create campaigns
  • Proven experience of improving ROI and effectiveness of PR through solid metrics
  • Capable of building of developing relationships
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbally
  • Highly organised and self-motivated
  • Adaptable
  • Retail background - desired but not essential
  • Degree educated (2:1 and above)

What's on Offer

This exciting role is offering a competitive salary of £45,000 to £55,000 depending on experience and will be covering a maternity leave for 9-12 months.
