Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities;

  • Accurate, timely and appropriate responses to media inquiries
  • As part of the international press team, take responsibility and ownership for international press coverage
  • Monitor developments and news in your regions
  • Assist in the forward planning processes for and the delivery of content created for global moments, campaign activity, policy launches, CEO appearances, advocacy pushes
  • Develop productive relationships with key media contacts, outlets and others in your regions and specialist areas.

The Successful Applicant

Skills and Experience;

  • Substantial experience working in journalism at a national or international level
  • Proven success at pitching stories to the media and working with journalists
  • Organising media visits and setting up interviews.
  • Writing news articles, features, picture stories and press releases
  • Easily absorb, adapt and précis reports to write engaging, accurate copy to deadline for different audiences.
  • Persuade, lobby and influence peers and colleagues and form productive relationships and contacts
  • Travel overseas and within the UK when necessary
