Job Description

The Private Client Accountant will work as part of a team providing high quality legal services on all aspects of taxation, trust administration and accounts.

Based in Leicester, you will report to a Partner in a team and have a direct report. Key duties will include:

  • preparation of personal tax returns and trust tax returns, including Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, IHT including calculating ten year charges and exit charges
  • filing returns with HMRC online and monitoring the submission
  • supervising and checking Income Tax returns and accounts for other members of the team
  • production of trust and estate accounts
  • assisting in the preparation of estate tax affairs pre and post death

Additionally, this role will carry some flexibility and be expected to provide a genuine support function to the team.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate for the Private Client Accountant role will be able to work in Leicester and qualified with a CCAB recognised accountancy body. Prior experience in a Private Client or Trust role would be advantageous alongside experience working in a practice environment.
