Job Description

As Procurement Assistant you will:

  • Provide support in the process ensuring that the suppliers follow the Contracts and Procurement process.
  • Assist in the preparation of documentation.
  • Ensure the effective management and control of a central contracts database.
  • Provide information on a monthly basis to assist forward planning.
  • Analyse supplier spend and update central database.
  • Manage and control departments saving/contribution and ensure stakeholder sign off.
  • Effectively support the needs of the team in obtaining quotes and answering queries.
  • Filtering and managing cold calls and general queries.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate to possess the following skills:

  • Experience in dealing with suppliers and cross-functional working
  • Confident and resilient
  • Proficient user of Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Results driven with excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data
  • Purchasing or procurement qualifications advantages but not essential
