Job Description

To strategically manage all sub-contract haulage & distribution categories of expenditure at the appropriate level

Adopting best practice Procurement processes to identify key areas of opportunity

Maximising benefits and returns. The holder will be required to build relationships with internal stakeholders and work closely with the operations on a cross functional basis to deliver end to end sourcing solutions and value across the Sub-Contract haulage category.

The Successful Applicant

  • MCIPS qualified or studying towards
  • Excellent commercial and negotiation skills are essential.
  • Background of managing complex or high value/risk products and services
  • Knowledge of procuring sub-contract haulage and/or distribution services at an operation level will be advantageous
  • A good level of distribution market knowledge will be advantageous
  • Ability of gaining knowledge quickly.
  • Supplier Management background.
  • Pedigree of working in a Corporate/Commercial Procurement environment
  • Background of working to procurement governance and delivering value in an operational environment
