This is a excellent opportunity with an ambitious bank based right in the heart of London's West End. My client has their sights firmly set on growth and whilst delivering the best possible service to its customers. They are looking for a Procurement Manager to join them and be part of their growth.

Job Description

In the role as a Procurement Manager you will be dealing with projects across my clients business including projects in IT, Operations, Digital Channels and Risk. You will also liaise closely with Finance and Legal in contracting with and managing suppliers.

In this role as a Procurement Manager you will face a range of challenges such as:-

  • Understanding business requirements and the competitive environment
  • Running an effective selection process
  • Managing stakeholders and expectations from different parts of the business
  • Negotiating the best deal with suppliers can involve detailed business modelling as well as getting under the skin of supplier motivations, tactics and ploys
  • Be responsible for managing cross-business teams to develop requirements, RFP documentation and supplier evaluation

The Successful Applicant

To be successful a Procurement Manager you will be able to:-

  • Manage and lead diverse teams through a process against tight deadlines.
  • Show strong commercial awareness and be able to spot the implications to the Bank of a supplier offer and assess the value behind it
  • Demonstrate the ability to plan long term and strategical

The ideal candidate will have:-

  • First-hand experience of the procurement cycle
  • Knowledge of procurement best practice and strategies
  • Numerate and analytical; experience of business process modelling and evaluating business plans
  • A commercial mindset and demonstrated ability in negotiation
  • Experience of developing, reviewing and agreeing commercial contracts for services, products and consumable purchasing
  • Experience of managing contracts throughout their life-cycle
  • Experience of influencing stakeholders and decision makers
