About Our Client

The client is a successful social enterprise company that has recently been granted a substantial amount of government funding recognising their work in the community and benefit of the service that they provide.

The team is very ambitious and is looking for a like minded driven candidate to join as the Procurement Manager.

Job Description

  • Work with the EA Network Director to ensure project management systems for all the grants and contracts are in place, including the maintenance of a unique number system to enable tracking and maintain an audit trail.

  • Advise business leads on most compliant and 'fit for purpose' procurement strategy to enable them to procure what they need and highlight risks.

  • Work with project leaders to draft and implement Invitations to Quote (ITQ) and procurement packs for a range of categories.

  • Assist pre-procurement/early market engagement processes with the team; including managing supplier days and working with the market to encourage innovation and a strong field of bidders.

  • Work with strand leaders to draft and implement Invitations to Tender (ITT) containing timetables, bidding instructions, specifications, KPIs, evaluation criteria, draft contract terms and conditions, risk register, proposed schedules and exit plans.

  • Finalise contract details, including the development of contract and grant exit arrangements, continuity & contingency planning.

  • Liaise closely with the CFO to ensure that budgetary controls and frequent monitoring arrangements are in place.

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven track record of managing Procurement processes end to end.

  • Previous experience of commercial contract management

  • Experience of developing, reviewing and agreeing commercial contracts for services, products and consumable purchasing

  • You will ideally be MCIPS qualified, or currently working towards and has a solid understand of public sector procurement legislation and relevant frameworks

  • An excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills, confident working with individuals at all levels
