About Our Client

Global FMCG business require a Procurement manager to support their outsourced packaging function.

Job Description

The role:

  • Managing the packaging procurement function
  • Develop all related category projects
  • Manage a team of five

Assist in the development and implementation of category specific strategies which cover:

  • Cost savings (Guaranteed save levels are established for each category)
  • OTIF performance improvements
  • Objectives based around SRM
  • Product innovation
  • Supply contingency
  • Stated client objectives
  • Represent your categories in all relevant client / team meetings
  • Develop close working relations with client in particular manufacturing sites
  • Develop professional working relations with category vendors
  • Manage all category related queries from client and in particular:
    • Quality complaints
    • Delivery issues
    • Pricing issues
    • Technical enquires
  • Manage all category queries from vendors and in particular:
    • Payment issues
    • Quality complaints
    • Order related issues
  • Ensure smooth operation of all internal systems / reports relevant to the activities of your categories:

The Successful Applicant

The candidate

  • Packaging Procurement exposure is key
  • People management is necessary
  • Pharma, Bioscience or FMCG background desirable
  • Experience of developing relationships with outsourced manufacturing sites needed

£55,000 - £65,000 plus package
