Job Description

To provide direct end-to-end procurement support, from procurement strategy to contract realisation, across a portfolio of procurement projects within Health and Adult Social care

To identify and deliver creative solutions to complex procurement problems

To play a key role in creating a high performing procurement and commercial development function that innovatively delivers improved outcomes

To maximise the use of the organisation's funds by identifying best practice and leveraging spend for the procurement categories and projects managed.

To maximise commercial and service outcomes and minimise risk held by the organisation

The Successful Applicant

A proven track record of successfully managing complex tenders end to end to meet service needs, deliver strong commercial outcomes and minimise service and procurement risk

Evidence of understanding of how procurement can add value within Health and Social Care services

Demonstrable knowledge and application of domestic and EU legislative requirements in relation to public procurement and good working knowledge of the new Public Contract Regulations 2015
