This is done through providing wide range of procurement services and procurement frameworks that can meet the unique requirements of public sector organisations, large scale organisations and the third sector.

Job Description

The Procurement Manager is responsible for:-

  • Procurement Strategy: Design and implementation of a procurement strategy for the business to achieve corporate objectives. Driving innovation for commercial advantage through all aspects of the strategy.
  • External Procurement Solutions: Management of the development of new procurement frameworks and renewal of exiting frameworks.
  • Public Procurement: Provide expert guidance to ensure compliance against regulations (including Public Procurement Regulations) and internal process is adhered to.
  • Internal Spend: Develop an internal procurement strategy to improve internal spend management to achieve efficiency savings.
  • Supply Chain Management: Ensure that robust supply chain management approaches are adopted across the business.

The Successful Applicant

As the Procurement Manager you will need:-

  • Ability to influence people and thrive in a change environment.
  • Good interpersonal skills, able to build and manage effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Leadership and motivational qualities, evidenced by good track record of managing staff and / or consultants / contractors.
  • Excellent ICT skills especially in Microsoft applications and online web based procurement portals
  • To have a background in the Construction Procurement Sector
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to develop commercially focused procurement solutions
  • Demonstrate successful experience of managing and delivering procurement projects principally in the public sector
  • Develop and maintain relationships in multiple marketplaces and quickly understand the legal and regulatory framework within each marketplace
  • Demonstrable experience managing internal and external customer relationships
  • Deep understanding of the fundamentals of contracting, especially frameworks, JCT and NEC
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in EU Procurement regulations and processes
  • Experience of leading procurement projects and use of Project Management methodologies
