About Our Client

Our client is an international manufacturing business in a bespoke field.

Job Description

As the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Building relationships and working closely with supply chain to develop, monitor and improve innovative low cost manufacturing processes whilst ensuring quality standards are maintained
  • Developing the procurement processes and supplier relationships across all areas of the business
  • Work with technical engineering to support design for manufacturing in relation to procured components, with a view to supporting latest manufacturing techniques
  • Support the sourcing decision process with technical analysis of supplier capabilities and competencies;
  • Supplier negotiations with information on materials / innovation trends that support more efficient manufacturing
  • Being responsible for managing the stock levels of bought in materials and parts using MRP.
  • Provide regular reporting on progress against targets which will include improving margins, quality, stock levels and efficiency.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Procurement Manager, will be:

  • Have strong knowledge of manufacturing techniques and processes
  • Ability to understand drawings and specifications
  • CIPS Qualified
  • Competent on Microsoft Office and MRP systems
