About Our Client
My client a leading manufacturer in their field, are looking for a procurement manager to join their team. The Department aims to ensure that lowest overall cost of acquisition of direct spend. You will be an integral part of this drive for success.
The overall aim of this role is develop, maintain and improve strategic sourcing plans. You will lead the site Supply Chain Management strategies and drive the implementation of best practice. Ensuring that you deliver the best total acquisition cost (TAC) for the business.
Production & Manufacturing operations scheduling via MRP planning, is central to what my client does to manage supplier demand and ensure effective inventory replenishment levels. Lead change implementation within the supply chain team, be a change champion and drive change. Manage the delivery of supplier quarterly business reviews for all A Class suppliers (QBR's).
Carry out periodic reviews with suppliers to ensure that they satisfy the ongoing requirements of their business. The overall achievement of continuous process improvement is vital to how we plan to improve both our Supply Chain and Procurement strategies and you will be a crucial part in helping to deliver this.
Deliver New Product introduction (NPI) supplier, part availability and quality stability for launch whilst minimising the 7 wastes, and conducting A/B/C analysis.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will be a senior procurement professional with experience of QCD management. This is a challenging general manufacturing environment. For this reason you will need a track record of delivering results within a challenging supply chain / procurement environment.
Internal stakeholder engagement is essential to provide a stable and continuous improvement environment. This will also need a person that will drive simplification and standardisation of manufacturing processes. Management of performance through KPI's, whilst delivering business efficiency & cost improvements. Broad engineering background re supplier quality and procurement strategy. Planning & BOM management experience would be helpful but not essential.
You will need to be a skilled negotiator who is able to obtain the best arrangements for the business whilst driving all of the above.
