Job Description

As the Procurement Process and Systems Manager you will be:-

  • Responsible for ensuring leading practice tools and systems are utilised (and continually developed) to support a strategic sourcing process and be the representative in any related system user groups (both internal and external).
  • Lead on the development and maintenance of a standard suite of terms and conditions to support the sourcing activities and to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure all aspects of regulation, compliance and probity are achieved through the strategic sourcing process by developing (and maintaining) a standard suite of procurement templates (including RFI's, RFP's, ITT's and SLA's) and other supporting documentation.
  • Responsible for the procurement aspects of the FSO's and for the development and maintenance of procurement policies and procedures to ensure a consistent and efficient approach to procurement and compliance within EU procurement legislation.
  • Keep abreast of any changes in relevant legislation or governance and ensure this is fully communicated across the business as appropriate and that any related policies, processes or documentation are updated accordingly.
  • Accountable for the review and maintenance of the departmental work plan and identification of any slippage and potential resource issues at an early stage.
  • Responsible for the cross transfer of knowledge and expertise across the different category areas/teams.
  • Take ownership and maximise the opportunities of the Procurement page of the intranet and external website and ensure the content is up to date and relevant.
  • Ensure contracts and frameworks are effectively communicated and promoted within the business and are available on the intranet, with appropriate guidance notes.
  • Develop, prepare and collate management reports and information and ensure the department responds to any requests for procurement related information (both internal and external) in a complete and timely manner.

The Successful Applicant

As the Procurement Process and Systems Manager you will need to:-

  • Proven Purchasing and Procurement skills
  • Strong analytical skills, advanced user of Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to influence.
  • Good team player as well as ability to use own initiative
  • Proven Procurement related experience preferably in a complex, fast paced and challenging work environment
  • Self-motivated, pro-active attitude and able to handle multiple concurrent tasks
  • Keen eye for detail with excellent presentation skills in order to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
  • Proven track record of benchmarking data and it's use to demonstrate value for money

What's on Offer

£40,000 to £45,000 plus an excellent pension
