About Our Client

Artsana are looking for a Product Manager to work on the Chicco brand, working in the office in Borehamwood. Chicco is a world multi-specialist brand in the baby care sector and the most important brand of the Artsana Group, Italian healthcare and babycare company with over 50 years of experience.

Over the years Chicco has achieved a high level of specialisation and continues to offer innovative solutions studied in every detail to accompany babies through growth: from pushchairs to highchairs, from toys to cribs, Chicco positions itself as the parents'coach offering smart and expert solutions and answering to parents and babies'needs.

Artsana UK & Eire is one of the Artsana Group' s sister companies (Chicco brand is present in more than 120 countries in the world). The company has been tremendously accelerating growth in the past 5 years, growing constantly double digit, included a staggering 2015, with a +25% growth versus previous year.

Toys is one of the most promising categories within the Chicco Brand, representing ca 20% of total turnover. 2016 will be a crucial year for toys, with great media plan, and the possibility to elaborate a full integrated Marketing Plan for the category.

Nursing is an exciting category for Chicco, very estabilished in Europe and in progress for launch in UK. Feeding, soothing, nappies, caring accessories will be launched gradually in the British market as part of the process of building the Baby Specialism of Chicco.

Job Description

Responsibilities of the Product Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Development of Marketing Plan in accordance with Marketing Manager
  • Responsibility of the categories Turnover and Gross Profitability
  • Study and development of local marketing plan
  • Channel Strategy & specific trade projects development
  • Events and promotions
  • POS materials
  • Above the line investment: Media & Communication Plans Definition
  • Monitoring the Market trends & competitive scenario: Critical analysis of sell-in and sell-out data
  • Business performance analysis (based on internal figures and external NPD and EPOS data) to understand winning products and develop corrective actions
  • Assist the Marketing Manager in the development of marketing & trade marketing activities to support product launches
  • Support the development and delivery of promotional / POS campaigns both on and off line
  • Briefs to & Coordination with agencies to define artwork and creativity for point of sales & merchandising materials
  • Constant coordination with other Group & UK headquarter functions
  • Communication and support to our PR agency (samples, product, images, etc)
  • Consumers/Trade Show Organization and Management
  • Maintain expert knowledge of Company product range
  • Showroom updating

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate should have already worked as a Product Manager or Junior Product Manager ideally within a bluechip 'white' goods or FMCG business.

The ideal candidate will be an individual who is a driver (results orientated), a shaper (creative, thinks in options & contingencies, is two or three steps ahead of the market, diplomatically challenges the existing order, takes people with them in the thought process, buy-in & implementation) & a completer- finisher (agrees actions & delivers above standard on time & in full).

The ideal candidate will have a degree in marketing or business studies/economics. In addition to this good computer skills are useful. Basic working knowledge of SAP would be excellent.

What's on Offer

This role offers a basic salary of between £26k to £30k with bonus. Plus a 3% pension scheme and health care contribution.
