About Our Client

Leading manufacturer in an FMCG environment who currently have a vacancy for a Project Engineering Technician working in the engineering department.

Job Description

Key responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • To support management of all aspects of site based projects, in line with agreed business targets and priorities.
  • Take responsibility for and manage projects providing appropriate level of support.
  • Conduct technical investigations and provide feedback as required for specific projects to all functions within the business.
  • Generate, to a high standard, all necessary documentation required during a project life cycle, in line with policies.
  • Provided technical and practical support to other functions within the business, in line with site priorities.
  • Provide and implement design improvements to existing plant and equipment.
  • Work with and provide technical and practical support to on site engineering technicians.
  • Communicate and work with equipment suppliers to ensure equipment meets the needs of the business and complies with relevant standards.
  • Liaise with and supervise third party service providers to ensure compliance with policies.
  • Support site priorities as and when required.
  • Complete all activities in accordance with appropriate internal and external health & safety procedures.
  • Complete all assigned activity in accordance with appropriate internal and external quality systems.
  • Organize and prioritize workload, providing accurate lead times to Line Manager.
  • Manage workload requirements and opportunities.
  • Apply company values in an open and ethical manner.
  • Take an active role in compiling and completing business objectives.
  • Make effective use of own resource and time.
  • Take individual responsibility and work independently for assigned work.
  • Use of initiative and take individual responsibility.

The Successful Applicant

  • Electrical\electronic\control engineering qualification to HNC level.
  • Practical experience of problem solving and faultfinding is an essential requirement of this role.
  • You must have the ability to perceive solutions to control problems and drive these through to final implementation.
  • You must have a flexible approach, be organised and methodical and have strong oral and written communication skills.
  • You will be self-motivated, have a pro-active approach and have the ability to prioritise and plan workloads, whilst working under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Previous work in a GMP environment would be desirable. Some travel to supplier sites may be required. This is a permanent full time opportunity.

What's on Offer

This position is paying up to £40,000 for the candidate who has previously been in a similar role.
