About Our Client

As with all big 4 consultancy firms the Project Finance team here is split into a number of different capabilities, this specific role sits within the Financial Management division. The FM team has seen a slew of roles released over the last 18 months due to a number of highly successful projects. Whilst specifically looking for a Manager at the moment, they are also hiring at a number of other levels across the capability.

The Financial Management team is made up of a mixture of professionals with accounting and consultancy experience. Currently they are looking to grow with an increased focus on accounting professionals. Skills in both delivery and further business development are sought after

Job Description

In the FM team, a Project Finance Consultant must have experience in:

  • Engagement delivery: leading and managing projects or work-streams of medium to large size and complexity (including planning and organising work packages, overseeing data gathering and analysis, summarising insights and presenting results, owning client relationships and preparing and chairing client meetings and workshops)
  • Business development: developing a strong understanding of client needs and building positive, long-standing relationships with clients through engagement delivery; identifying business development opportunities, and supporting the business development activity of senior members of the team (including shaping and presenting proposals/ bids for future work and managing proposal development activities)
  • Risk management: identifying and managing risks and ensuring the firm's frameworks are implemented appropriately and effectively
  • People development: performance management including identifying team member development needs and accelerating development with particular emphasis on coaching and skills transfer
  • Practice development: taking a leading role in processes and initiatives that are key to scaling the business

The Successful Applicant

Successful candidates who wish to apply for the Project Finance Consultant role must demonstrate the following skills:

  • Accounting qualification: ACA/CIMA/ACCA
  • Experience with a project / finance change
  • Project delivery experience
  • Understanding of issues facing finance functions
  • Ability to lead and develop teams
  • Project management experience
