About Our Client
The organisation are a research, care and support cancer charity who have impacted the lives of millions of people across the UK.
As the Project Finance Manager you will be expected to lead the delivery of assigned projects to time, scope, cost and quality criteria and deliver the outcomes and benefits outlined in the project brief. You will also be expected to push back on stakeholders and drive the wider agenda's of the organisations strategy.
In conjunction with the Head of Finance Improvement Projects you will maintain the Finance Team project plan and work across Finance, IT and other relevant teams to ensure the plan is adequately prioritised and communicated.
For each of the project assigned you will have the opportunity to define the scope of the project and its anticipated benefits.
Other aspects of the role will include the co-ordination of the project team, the project resources and the identification of the dependencies.
The Successful Applicant
Experience & knowledge required:
A good understanding of finance systems (Essential)
Understanding of Charity Accounting regulations (Desirable)
Qualified Accountant - ACA, CIMA, ACCA or similar or qualified by experience (Desirable)
Project management training (Essential)
Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
Ability to think strategically and to manage detail, and to know when each is important.
Dynamic and challenging with an ability to work with people at all levels both internally and externally
Highly effective stakeholder management and engagement skills, with excellent interpersonal skills at all levels and with technical and non technical audiences
