About Our Client

My client is global provider of capital equipment, based in Berkshire and are looking for a Project Manager to reinforce their team.

Job Description

Management of contracts and operational systems, responsible for the effective processing and control of customer orders ensuring on time delivery and maximisation of margin recovery. Responsibilities:

  • To manage specific contracts / project orders to ensure that orders are processed and handled in the most efficient way possible to ensure on time delivery, on budget delivery to maximise margin recovery, to ensure on time payment and to minimise any liability that the Company may be exposed to in the execution of customer's orders
  • To set up and maintain operational systems to increase the operating efficiency of the operation.
  • To review customer orders to ensure that commercial conditions are acceptable to MSL and all contractual requirements are fully understood and conveyed to the necessary parts of the Company.
  • To maintain effective systems for the provision of documentation in line with contractual requirements in a timely manner for all contracts. Working knowledge of supplying to and dealing with EPC requirements.
  • To maintain systems for the review of engineering data sheets with sales and engineering prior to the commencement of engineering to ensure equipment offered is of the most economical design to meet order requirement.
  • To ensure all Company communication with customers is in a clear and professional manner.
  • To liaise with the manufacturing operations, & with sub-contract manufacturers and suppliers to ensure correct on time supply with the best possible trading terms.
  • To have a personal involvement with purchasing, engineering and any other such tasks which may be required in support of group activities in order to meet contractual requirements.
  • Occasional need for travel to customer locations globally

The Successful Applicant

To be considered for this challenging and rewarding role of Project Manager, my client is looking for:

  • Mechanical / Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Industry knowledge as a Project Manager / Contracts Manager.
  • Knowledge of EPC is essential.
  • Manufacturing Background.
  • Good knowledge of IT Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Courteous and pleasant telephone manner.
  • Ability to prioritise work and handle multiple deadlines.
