Job Description

The Project Manager role is looking for candidate with experience of delivering Projects within Financial Services.

    • Drive project management excellence in project delivery, including:
  • Time, Budget, Quality, Stakeholder, Resource, Supplier and Scope Management
    • Document control
    • Prepare business cases, executive summaries and presentations
    • Drive project requirements definition (project charter)
    • Definition and documentation of change requirements and communication of internal and / or external delivery teams as required
    • Conduct research on regulatory issues
    • Interaction and co-ordination with internal groups - Project Management Office, Tax, Legal, Operations, HR, Treasury, IT, Finance etc
    • Work with GM project teams to define and deliver joint projects
    • Work directly with business customers and the application development teams to define solutions
    • Define project timelines and dependencies and derive assignable work packages to sub-teams and other work-streams
    • Deliver project deliverables to the agreed timeline and quality and ensure the same for deliverables assigned to others
  • Define and develop mitigation activities to address identified project risks

  • To ensure ongoing adherence to all relevant compliance regulations that may govern the UK Plc business and complete all regulatory knowledge training where applicable in a timely fashion.

The Successful Applicant

Project Manager role requires the following experience.

    • Degree or equivalent
  • Project implementation experience
  • Captive financing experience desired
  • Solid understanding of overall business and corporate objectives and works under broad project direction with the ability to self-define specific tasks
  • Uses judgment, creativity and sound technical knowledge to recommend solutions
  • Interfaces directly with senior management where required
  • Takes a hands-on approach to project work and is adaptable in terms of style and activities undertaken
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to be assertive
  • Comprehensive PC based tools knowledge (particularly MS Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent presentation and report writing skills
  • Strong English language skills
