Job Description

Michael Page Engineering and Manufacturing are looking for a Project Operations Manager to plan, direct, and coordinate the engineering and operational project functions for our Client a key supplier to the consumer industry. Our client are based in the Milton Keynes region and looking for an experienced Engineering professional to take control of Projects cradle to grave

Duties involve coordinating projects, design concept, making project plans and schedules, dispatching and allocating internal resources to various projects, managing high level relationship with customers, reviewing changes, administration tasks including preparing internal and group reports and close project financial follow up.

The successful individual will be fully responsible for the leadership and development of the Engineering function and be accountable in developing further business with existing and new customers. The Project Operations Manager must also be able to innovate the business and continually improve the product and services they provide to the businesses vision as the go to bespoke solutions provider in their field

This individual will have the opportunity to take full autonomy over the cradle to grave project function and the ability to have a strategic overview and direction of the business reporting directly to the MD.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Project Operations Manager will have -

* An Engineering or Science based degree (Chartered status would be highly advantageous)

* Extensive experience of Project Management

* Proven experience of managing, leading and developing people in a cross functional team, including workforce planning, coaching/mentoring and performance management

* Proven experience of meeting financial objectives, managing budgets, forecasting and business planning

* A background in a fast paced consumer sector would be advantageous

* Ability to lead and drive change * Initiative to be a self-driver and tenacity to create and develop a brand new role
