Job Description

Property Litigation Lawyers - St. Albans

The legal work will be varied and engaging. Irrelevant of your level, you will work with significant autonomy and have good volumes of client interaction. The more senior candidates will have slightly more business development and managerial duties to attend to.

Work to include (but not limited to):

  • possession proceedings and forfeiture
  • contractual disputes
  • money claims
  • tenancy deposits
  • rent arrears and service charge disputes
  • boundary disputes/rights of way
  • enforcing lease covenants
  • trespass
  • property negligence claims
  • applications by business tenants for new leases.

Working with a range of clients such as well-established local landowners, property investors, developers, private landlords, management companies, institutions and private individuals, you have the platform to further grow and shape a market leading property disputes practice.

The Successful Applicant

Property Litigation Lawyers - St. Albans - Debenhams Ottaway

The successful candidate will come from a range of PQE, but the level of ambition, drive and passion to pursue a career in this area of the law will be paramount, if not more important than the PQE level.

The successful junior applicant will have the opportunity to start developing their own portfolio. They will be encouraged to get involved in client events and networking under the guidance of well-respected property disputes practitioners. The meritocratic environment enables an ambitious lawyer to flourish at the firm. You should therefore be proactive, commercially aware, astute, driven and confident.

Successful Senior candidates could either offer an immediate business case, or alternatively show a willingness and proven track record of developing clients for the benefit of them and the firm.

Experience in general commercial litigation is beneficial but not essential.
