My client are a leading name in the retail leisure industry. Over the past 25 years they have built an enviable portfolio of properties while also making sure they have held true to their core values. They are now looking for a Property Surveyor to help support, improve and build upon their London properties.

Job Description

The Property Surveyor will;

Support the Divisional Property Manager in maintaining and improving the condition of the property portfolio in the London Region. The role includes supporting the investment plan and encouraging tenants and lessees to comply with the terms of their agreements. As this position is field-based it is envisaged that the Property Surveyor will spend at least 80% of their time working in the field. Where they will liaise with Tenants, Field Operators, third party suppliers and agencies

Ensure high quality work is delivered on time, in full for great value. This will include undertaking activity in areas such as statutory compliance, legislative requirements, Escalated repairs, small value capital investments, visual assessment of building services and associated installations.

Undertake weekly structured telephone reviews with Regional Managers, identifying issues and agreeing solutions. Support the resolution of complaints and proactively identify issues and potential complaints ensuring their speedy resolution. Proactively preempt issues arising that may give rise to a complaint.

Undertake condition management survey activity, data collection and identification of responsibility for any disrepair. Advise on appropriate remedies to items of disrepair. Validation of satisfactory completion of dilapidation works. Support the Divisional Property Manager in the delivery of the Repairs Enforcement Programme (REP). Where required, review the release of Repairs & Maintenance funds.







The Successful Applicant

The Property Surveyor will have/be:

Strong communication and influencing skills, including the ability to negotiate at all levels.

Ability to manage the appropriate balance between customer empathy and company objectives, achieved through an understanding of the factors which influence customer profitability

Building surveying background and working towards professional qualification (RICS/CIOB)

Focused on delivery of high quality service to customers and business profit

Proficient in exploring and utilising management information systems and competent in the use of Excel, Word, Outlook and Internet applications
