A Purchasing Manager is required by a Blue Chip organisation based in the West Midlands.

Job Description

The Purchasing Manager (Indirects) key responsibilities will be;

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Analyse data against the stakeholder's requirements
  • Identify and deliver savings across various indirect procurement categories
  • Refine business requirements in order to optimize procurement leverage
  • Negotiate, renegotiate and draft contracts with support from the in-house Legal team
  • Proactively identify and effectively manage endogenous and exogenous procurement risks

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree-educated (ideally procurement related) or MCIPS qualification
  • At least two years' experience in Procurement, preferably within a category-led environment
  • Significant exposure to various categories (including IT and Services) and to contract management would be beneficial
  • Numerate, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills
