Job Description

The key responsibilities for Purchasing Manager are listed below:

  • Shape and oversee the working level COTS and Software Developer strategies
  • Managing the sourcing of new software enabled technologies
  • External bench-marking of relevant supply bases
  • Management of existing contracts & identification of cost reduction opportunities
  • Manage engineering's adherence to software best practice processes
  • Develop revenue enhancement models, as well as cost reduction opportunities, working closely with Marketing and Engineering
  • Development and deployment of processes and procedures with internal business stakeholders for sourcing, finance management, quality & warranty

The Successful Applicant

Skills, experience and qualifications required

  • Strong software buying and negotiating expertise
  • Strong sense of 'business acumen' and analytical skills
  • MCIPS qualified
  • Experience in supplier relationship and contract management
  • Confidence in presenting to and debating with business leadership
  • Project management skills

What's on Offer

£55,000 - £65,000 + package including car/ allowance, pension, 10% bonus, 26 days holiday.
