About Our Client

Our Client is a large Multi-National Manufacturing company based in the West Midlands. With international reach and multiple sites across Europe, they are looking for the right candidate to join their expanding team as a QHSE Manager. After a sustained period of growth with revenue up past £50 million, this position offers candidates the chance to join an innovative market leading business.

Job Description

With full autonomy for QHSE process and procedures this will role will directly report into the senior UK management team.

  • To offer Health and Safety guidance to ensure employees, sub-contractors and visitors to ensure a safe working environment
  • To prevent any failures of the Safety systems and ensure that the company compiles with its legal obligations under all relevant legislation
  • Provide leadership on Quality Assurance matters with suppliers and provide leadership on QHSE matters in relation to customer requirements
  • To implement, manage and improve management systems, including overseeing all internal and external audits including, but not limited to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001
  • To oversee all risk assessments to ensure they are all carried out and completed to a satisfactory standard
  • Ensure investigations are carried out into any failure of Quality, Environmental or Safety systems for any reported incidents
  • Effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, external agencies, employees and global colleagues
  • Co-ordinate all training for Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements
  • Co-ordinate regular Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Committee meetings
  • Report monthly to the UK management team and attend the OMM (Operations Management Meeting)
  • Manage Affiliate & Global quality goals and to monitor QHSE KPI's

The Successful Applicant

  • NEBOSH qualified
  • Prior experience in coaching and mentoring all levels on QHSE issues across site
  • Previous success in developing problem solving techniques such as 8D and Six Sigma
  • Lead auditor in ISO9001/14001/18001
  • Excellent communication skills by engaging with all levels of employees
  • Valid UK driving licence
