Our client is a leading automotive manufacturer, based in the West Midlands region. With an international reach, this is a chance for a Quality Engineer to join with a global business that is buoyant in the market following the automotive boom.

Job Description

  • Take ownership for customer management
  • Drive, track and run problem resolution teams to permanently close issues, utilising 8Ds and FMEAs
  • Work with wider team to drive process improvements
  • Responsible for leading a team to a position where they can guarantee internal and external customers are satisfied with quality of product.
  • Ensure business is operating in line with TS16949 and ISO9001 quality systems.
  • Drive the quality management of components and assemblies for new projects; ensuring delivery to the correct quality, number and timescales.
  • Utilise APQP and PPAP techniques
  • Comfortable liaising with customers and delivering in line with high expectations
  • Collate, produce and manage customer and internal KPIs

The Successful Applicant

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; confident being main point of contact with customers
  • sound understanding of TS16949
  • Six Sigma Green Belt desired
  • Comprehensive understanding of containment action
  • Competent with Root Cause Analysis and corrective action procedures
  • Versatile with variety of processes and procedures
  • Strong mechanical engineering background
  • APQP, PPAP, FMEA competent
  • Comfortable leading a small team

Fixed Term Contract salary from £30000-35000 DOE
