My client is a national based high quality Social Housing maintenance and construction specialist.

Job Description

The successful Quantity Surveyor will be involved in a number of planned maintenance projects in Social Housing . The successful candidate will need to be career orientated, driven and be able to take on a variety of challenges.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead or assist senior quantity surveyors in multiple varying value projects.
  • You will be involved in multiple projects including planned schemes
  • Ensure all projects adhere to legal and quality standards, and that clients get good value for their money.
  • Prepare cost plans
  • Prepare tender documents
  • Undertake monthly valuations for payments
  • Develop and agree final accounts
  • Attend client meetings.

You will be given responsibility for your own contracts and expected to run them with minimum supervision.

The Successful Applicant

  • The successful Quantity Surveyor to be based in the Northern Home Counties will need to be driven and self-motivated. My client always look to promote within and so the desire to learn and develop is crucial
  • Experience working on social housing planned projects is essential.
  • Someone who is able to work as part of a team and independently.
