About Our Client

My client is an established high-street retailer with over 1,500 stores world wide. The portfolio consists of office buildings to retail stores and also some residential properties. Their UK estate has increased yearly and they are still looking to expand this further over the coming years.

Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Property you will your responsibilities will include:


  • Responsible for preparing annual and long term budgets for the region
  • Oversee budgetary control
  • Manage contractor performance & quality of work, carrying out regular reviews
  • Ensure contractors provide value for money, price checking where appropriate
  • Using data from internal IT systems to proactively identify areas which need addressing and achieve proactive solutions to ongoing maintenance issues


  • Responsibility for preparing annual and long term budgets
  • Develop clear specifications for planned maintenance
  • Ensure statutory compliance across the Estate and manage contractor performance.
  • Awareness of and close liaison with contractors and Health and Safety advisors regarding legislation and ensure that recommendations are successfully implemented.

The Successful Applicant

To be considered for this role you must be an experienced Facilities Manager ideally from a commercial property background and a shopping centre and retail background would be advantageous. Commercially aware, you will be confident dealing with a wide range of people, possess excellent communication skills, a cool head and have the ability to drive multiple projects. A bright and credible professional, you'll have a strong customer-led approach and a forward thinking mind set.
