About Our Client

My client is a market leader within Logistics and Supply Chain and have a global presence - mainly within the UK, Continental Europe, Australia and the Middle East. The Group has circa 2,500 employees based across the UK and Continental Europe.

It is going through a huge period of expansion and investing a huge amount into the finance function to aid with their growth in both UK and Continental Europe - hence the need for a Regional Reporting Manager in their UK Head Office.

Job Description

  1. Complete consolidation activities required to produce the region's reporting packs and financial statements.
  2. Maintain and develop a robust framework of internal controls to ensure that accounting records maintained are complete, accurate and reliable.
  3. Provide financial analysis and explanatory commentary of actual performance against prior year/budget and forecast as required.
  4. Implement improvements to accounting process and controls, in order to increase reporting efficiency and quality.
  5. Define and provide financial information, interpretation, analysis and support to internal customers, improving the understanding of information provided.
  6. Support the trainee management accountant in the reporting of the overhead costs.
  7. Ensuring the documentation of an accurate audit trail from the region's reporting packs to the various regional reporting packages.
  8. Liaising with the auditors and tax advisors, providing requested information.
  9. Development of a Regional chart of accounts in conjunction with the corporate finance team.
  10. Other ad-hoc tasks as agreed with the FC.

The Successful Applicant

  1. Qualified accountant with minimum 3 years' experience.
  2. Proven track record in financial accounting.
  3. Have an understanding of how to consolidate multiple companies in one region.
  4. Ability to build healthy working relationships with business stakeholders while exhibiting independence and objectivity in thought and action;
  5. Ability to multi task and work well under pressure, prioritising tasks and workload and managing conflicting demands of the business units and senior management team;
  6. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff across the UK/Europe region, as well as key stakeholders;

Salary is between £60,000 and £65,000 (+ additional benefits)
