Job Description

Regional Sales Manager Role:

  • Manage commercial relationships between my client and their dealer network within the UK and South Africa Region across New, Used Sales, After-Sales and Financial Services.
  • Communicate monthly, quarterly and annual Retail and Wholesale objectives to dealer partners and ensure the necessary infrastructure is in place to deliver consistently.
  • Ensure highest standards of customer satisfaction and brand representation through implementing effective customer focused processes and monitoring and reporting on compliance against Dealer Operating Standards
  • Develop, in conjunction with Dealer and Central marketing and PR teams, effective dealer Marketing Plans and ensure thorough and professional execution
  • Monitor all available KPIs to ensure that dealer performance objectives are fully met and effective action plans are implemented to address issues as required
  • Provide latest market intelligence and voice-of-the-customer feedback to central teams
  • Liaise with my clients Financial Services towards the achievement of joint objectives
  • Be an ambassador for my client with customers and opinion leaders at events
  • Ensure that dealer and regional requirements are professionally represented and that the business is effectively challenged to do the right thing for our customers

Regional Sales Manager Key Objectives:

  • Formalising plans and activity to achieve the company's wholesale plan
  • Weekly review and submission of retail and showroom activity data for accurate forecasting
  • Ensure use of after-sales processes that drive customer satisfaction and dealer profitability
  • Collaborate with central Client Services team on the resolution of customer issues
  • Agree lead/support activities with my clients Financial Services and Extended Warranty field teams
  • Manage and control the deployment of regional retail marketing support Budgets
  • Manage schedule to ensure effective dealer meetings, with detailed pre-visit agendas & structured post-visit action plans
  • Monitor the AML CSI programme and results through customer feedback and where necessary develop Action Plans to rectify the shortfall.
  • Ensure proactive and orderly promotion of my clients programmes and collaborate across a range of activities to underpin strong residual value management
  • Develop dealer staff through regular visits and reviews of training and development needs
  • Regular monitoring of dealer financial composite performance with action plans as required
  • Assist each dealer partner to develop and implement local Marketing and PR Plans for current portfolio and new model launches
  • Promote a consistent brand message through regional and dealer activity of the full marketing mix including prior review of proposed dealer marketing materials
  • Participate actively in my clients National and International motor shows and related public events in the UK and abroad
  • Monthly monitoring of all competitor activity with formalised reporting as required

The Successful Applicant

Regional Sales Manager - Experience, Education & Key Competencies:

  • Business or marketing-related degree or equivalent professional qualification
  • Experience in comparable OEM dealer facing role or management position within dealer new car retail environment
  • In-depth understanding of new cars sales and after-sales processes
  • Experience within luxury retail environment highly beneficial
  • Passionate about sports cars segment with relevant product and industry knowledge
  • Experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining marketing strategies
  • Proven experience in customer and market research
  • Experience with relevant software applications, as well as written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with strong personal organization and planning skills
  • Problem analysis and problem-solving
  • Team-leadership and formal presentation skills
  • Persuasiveness, Adaptability, Innovation and Collaboration
