Job Description

To provide regulatory legal advice to the EMEA businesses and corporate functions on a broad range of:

  • prudential and conduct related regulatory issues and potential breaches
  • the UK Prudential Regulation Authority and Financial Conduct Authority's rules and guidance
  • regulatory aspects of corporate re-organisation and expansion projects and cross functional or jurisdictional corporate projects
  • outsourcing arrangements, new product and services, policies and procedures, AML and anti-bribery and corruption requirements
  • EU and national regulatory reforms, including working closely with the Regulatory, Industry & Government Affairs team on consultation responses and regulatory reform implementation projects

The role also involves instructing and managing external counsel and collaborating with and seeking input from lawyers in the US and across EMEA, ensuring consistency of approach wherever appropriate given differing legal and regulatory requirements.

The Successful Applicant

  • Extensive post qualification experience at a large international law firm and/or financial services organisation and/or regulator
  • A proven interest in and experience of financial services regulation

Good working knowledge of the PRA and FCA handbooks
