Job Description

Regulatory Reporting Specialist

Take ownership of tasks and deliverables within the monthly and quarterly CoRep, PRA and Bank of England Statistical reporting.

  • Assisting with the implementation of regulatory changes within the department.
  • Enhancement of the processes to produce the regulatory information for new regulatory requirements and for additional control and automation.
  • Acceptance of new releases of regulatory reporting software.
  • Provide assistance in testing, planning and implementing projects which affect the Regulatory Reporting.
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests from the regulators.
  • Development of robust improvements and additional spreadsheet controls.
  • Initiate and lead changes to improve the integrity and efficiency of their reporting structure.
  • Full end to end UAT of automated data; reconciliation of delivered data against expected results; drilldowns on source data to identify differences in reporting.
  • Monitoring developments in the regulatory environment; review of discussion /consultation / policy papers from the PRA/FCA, EU/EBA and BCBS.

Key result areas

  • Prompt delivery of regulatory data by deadlines prescribed by the various regulators.
  • Assisting with the implementation including end to end testing of an automated regulatory reporting system for EBA Capital and Liquidity reporting.
  • Documentation of processes and liaising with the system developers.
  • Assist in preparation of ICAAP, ILAA and FSCS reporting.
  • Ensure reports are consistent, accurate and meet the requirements established by the regulators.
  • Update of Pillar3 statement and RRP document.
  • Monitoring the control framework in place to deliver accurate and timely external and internal reporting information.
  • Monitor regulatory policy, proposals and consultation papers.
  • Documentation and update of regulatory reporting procedures.

The Successful Applicant

Regulatory Reporting Specialist

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent professional accounting qualification
  • Banking product knowledge
  • CRDIV knowledge
  • ICAAP, ILAA & FSCS knowledge
  • Keen interest in the changing regulatory landscape within Banking
