Job Description

The role of Repairs Audit Officer will be responsible for delivering the repairs audit functions within the Council's Repairs & Maintenance section

General day to day duties will include:

  • To ensure compliance with policies & procedures stipulated within the Council's repairs obligations
  • To ensure performance data and monitoring feedback is provided as necessary to support the operational sections in the delivery of a highly successful and effective Repairs & Maintenance service
  • To support the Audit Manager in provision of audit reports to relevant senior management on various areas of the responsive repairs service providing recommendations where required to improve service delivery, and ensure compliance to agreed protocols and legislative requirements
  • To scrutinise and report on the delivery of the repairs service as instructed by the Audit Manager
  • To support the Audit Manager in the production of KPI data presentations in various formats with the use of software packages such as word; excel; PowerPoint
  • Ensure operational reporting tools are maintained and made available to management
  • To carry out adhoc audits of the repairs service as required and instructed by the Audit Manager
  • Undertake programmed Audits of the Repairs service as instructed by the Audit Manager
  • Contribute to the completion of Repairs Audit reports as per programmed targets and adhoc audits on instruction from the Audit Manager

The Successful Applicant

  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in Auditing and Accounting within a responsive repairs environment
  • HNC or equivalent qualification in a building-related subject and at least 2 years' experience of maintenance and surveying services OR A minimum of 5 years' general experience of building surveying
  • Practical understanding and experience with the use of NHF Schedule of Rates
  • Competent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages, Outlook, Word and Excel.
